How Do I Connect To AOL Thru Busynet.Net ?


Here's how to connect to AOL using an ISP and the AOL client:

Using the AOL v3.0 for Windows client;
1) Sign on to Busynet
2) Launch your AOL software
3) Click "setup"
4) Click "create location"
5) Type "TCP/IP" in the "location" box
6) Set the modem speeds to 57,600
7) Set the "network" to "TCP/IP"
8) Click "save"
9) Make sure that TCP/IP is highlighted in the "Choose Location" field
10) Click "OK"
11) You're now at the sign on window
12) Click "sign on" and the client should establish a TCP/IP connection to AOL.
13) If the next time you want to sign on using the regular phone number you'll
    need to click on "setup" and highlight the appropiate "location".
    Usually "home"

if you have any version before v3.0 go to the AOL home page and download the
newest version 

To do the same on a Mac using the version 3.0 AOL for Mac client: 

1) Sign onto Busynet
2) Launch the AOL software
3) In the locality selector on the sign on screen select TCP/IP
4) Sign on to AOL
 

Dont forget to go to the members area for accounting and let them know you are changing your membership to ``Bring Your Own Connection" then you will be billed $9.95 from AOL instead of $19.95 per month.
